Local Number Porting, LNP

You can keep your existing phone number (DID) by porting it to ClicknCall. Firstly you must give written consent to us to port in your number. We will keep you informed of the transfer process.

Important information to note

  1. Due to our need to communicate with your originating carrier for porting a number, standard turnaround time for a porting request is typically " 10 WORKING DAYS " ( 5 for the port verification and 5 for the actual port ). ClicknCall has no control over these timelines. They are determined by legislation and the response time of the losing carrier. Therefore, a precise time frame cannot be guaranteed and could take weeks for a complex port.
  2. Service interruption or change: If your number is connected to a DSL ( ADSL ) service or other bundled Internet services and you port that number to VoIP ( ClicknCall ), your DSL/Internet service may be cut off and will not be able to be resumed until the number is ported away. We strongly recommend that you DO NOT port a number that is connected to a DSL ( ADSL ) service.
  3. By Porting the above telephone number(s), the service associated with that telephone number is disconnected from the existing Service Provider's network and may result in finalization of the account for that service. Please DO NOT disconnect your number prior to commencing the Porting process.
  4. You obtain the right to port your telephone number(s), however, there may be costs and obligations imposed by your current Service Provider, associated with the port which may include early termination fees and / or Porting fees. Please check with your existing carrier prior to submitting a Porting request. We are not responsible for any port out fee your carrier may charge you when leaving them, as it is beyond our control.
  5. Subject to validation: Porting of DID is subject to validating that it can be Transferred. NOT all numbers can be ported. ClicknCall will attempt to port your number. However, in some circumstances, the port may be rejected by the holding carrier.
  6. Porting your DID from another VSP may not be possible. In most circumstances, it won't be possible unless we have a bilateral agreement with the carriers whom may, or may not hold the number.
  7. Notice of completion of the port: We will use reasonable efforts to notify you of the completion of the port on the day it occurres or, if the port relies on a third party, on the day we are advised that the completion has occurred.

Porting cost

  • Cat A/single port: $35 one off porting fee, plus $5 per month on-going for the ported number.
  • Cat C/Complex Ports(ISDN, line hunt, bundle services etc.): $120 one off porting fee plus $5 per month on-going for the ported number.
  • If your port is unsuccessful, it means that the details you have provided do not match the losing carrier's records, or the carrier is providing you with "complex services" on your numbers which need to be removed first.
  • Penalties and fees: There is a $15 rejection fee per rejected porting request. Please make sure your details are 100% correct before submitting the port.

Other terms and conditions

While we make all reasonable effort to conduct tests to ensure your VoIP equipment can receive incoming calls properly before attempting to port in your DID, it's ultimately your responsibility to ensure your VoIP equipment and devices (including network setup and firewall settings etc) are compatible with the VoIP protocols. We will make every effort to help you configure your equipment but due to the nature of VoIP being susceptible to many factors outside of our control(such as your ISP's network/firewall setup, your own network and equipment setup) it may not always work. In the case the DID is ported to Clickncall but your equipment is unreachable or unable to receive incoming calls the monthly on-going cost for the DID is still applicable until your DID is ported out or other arrangements agreed between you and ClicknCall. You can always port the DID out to other providers without any penalties from Clickncall.
